Biography

Jesse D. Andrews was born in Los Angeles, Ca. and raised by his grandmother and uncle. Jesse has lived in Fresno for 6 years living with his father Travis Lee Andrews Jr. At the age of 13 he became actively involved in community affairs, church and committed his life to the Lord. He was Public Relations for his youth department New Macedonia Church of God in Christ.
Jesse is was actively involved in The Know Youth Media, a youth organization designed to give young people a voice in their community through videos, creative writing and journalism. As part of The Know he worked on their planning committee for their Youth Forum Lock Down on School Violence, Jesse took a strong position in the River Park Curfew serving to help implement a plan to bring peace between City Hall and teens all over the city.
Jesse Andrews helped The Fresno Regional Foundation Grants Advisory Board with giving money through philanthropy to youth organizations in the county area and youth led projects to help better their communities. He has been a product of many leadership programs such as CATAPULT and has worked with Fresno West Coalition for Economic Development and the City of Fresno on the California Avenue
Project. As a volunteer at Fresno West Coalition he has gained outreach experience. He has hosted community events such as Career Night, hosting special guest such as: Councilmember Cynthia Sterling, Stephanie Boorojian, Sheriff Margaret Mims, Kojo Moore, Robert Mitchell and Jean Chaffee who encouraged youth to pursue their dreams.
Jesse had attended and graduated from Edison High in Fresno, CA.
Jesse has spent the last three years at Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia where he pursues a Bachelors of Science in Biology. Jesse is also the President for the America's Born 2 Lead Network, Inc. Atlanta chapter where he works to make the organization become the premier go-to-organization for all things youth.
